April 14th, Dr. Sarah Whitton, Professor, Psychology Department, Director, Behavioral Health Center University of Cincinnati will share a presentation on the LGBTQ community. A potential agenda for such a presentation is as follows:

Understanding the LGBTQ community 

    - Sexual Orientation- definitions and common labels

    - Gender- definitions, labels, and common misconceptions. 

    - how to respectfully refer to people's minority sexual or gender identity

- Historical and ongoing stigma and discrimination faced by LGBTQ Americans

- LGBTQ people of color -- understanding the experiences of individuals with multiple intersecting minority identities.
