Perhaps the most striking example of our nation’s progress has been the expansion of the franchise from propertied white men at our founding to people of all races and genders over the age of 18 today. However, Constitutional Amendments alone cannot ensure the enforcement of these voting rights. Join us on Thursday, January 28th as historian Dr. Hasan Jeffries of Ohio State University and attorney Allison Riggs of the Southern Coalition for Social Justice discuss the challenges to voting rights: then and now.
