North Carolina lawmakers intend to take bold, political steps to propose mid-cycle redistricting. (Texas was the first state to do this.) THE FEDERAL ELECTION ASSISTANCE COMMISSION CONSIDERS REQUIRING DOCUMENTED PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP FOR FEDERAL ELECTIONS.

According to LWVNC, “This change could create unnecessary barriers for eligible voters—particularly seniors, students, married women, low-income residents, and people in rural communities—who may not have immediate access to birth certificates, passports, or naturalization documents.
