The What and The Why.
In its first initiative, the NC Network for Fair, Safe and Secure Elections is hosting 14 town halls—one in each of NC’s US Congressional Districts—from August through September of this year.
The town hall tour will be in Hickory for the US Congressional District 10 on September 21 from 6:30p-8p at the Hickory Metro Convention Center. The Trusted Elections Town Hall Tour aims to provide information on the electoral process, build trust in the voting system and strengthen civil discourse.
The Counties of Alexander, Burke, Caldwell, Catawba, Cleveland, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln and Rutherford are included in the 2022 interim map for District 10.

The 90-minute town halls will feature cybersecurity experts, election officials, and election law attorneys from both sides of the aisle. They will address public concerns about electronic voting machines and hacking, explain the secure process for collecting and counting votes, and advise on how challenges, recounts, and fraud allegations are dealt with through proper legal channels.

The US Congressional District 10 Town Hall will be at the Hickory Metro Convention Center in the Conover Room— 1960 13th Ave Dr SE #5186, Hickory, NC 28602. Map below. 6:30P-8P. Register/RSVP here. This event is open to all interested voters. The event is free.
The Metro Center is located between I-40 (take Exit 125, Lenoir-Rhyne Blvd) and US 70. Parking is readily available. A variety of restaurants (and lodging) is nearby.
